Mike Harding presents an hour of the very best in folk, roots and acoustic music and talks to singer and guitarist Steve Tilston about his new album The Reckoning.
On this week’s programme, Steve looks back over his career so far and tells Mike Harding about the subjects that inspired his latest works, from the songs on The Reckoning to his novel All For Poor Jack.
To celebrate his 40th year as a professional musician Steve Tilston has chosen to return to Bristol, the city that for many reasons has played a major part in his life. It was in Bristol that Steve recorded his first album An Acoustic Confusion, and it is 15th century Bristol that provides much of the backdrop for his first novel All for Poor Jack.
Steve will be performing songs spanning his career with help from Wizz Jones, Martha Tilston, Keith Warmington, Brooks Williams, Chris Parkinson, Maggie Boyle, David Bowie and other special guests. He will also be signing copies of the book.
